Ok, So my son whom is 18 has been missing since the 6th of July. I have been doing everything I can to track him down from here I have been in touch with the police at the last know place he was at, which would be Granite Falls, Wa where he was suppose to be on a camping trip with some friends. Well Saturday I got a call from the Granite Falls police Department asking about some key's in my son's possession apparently they looked like official government key's that say do not duplicate, at this time I informed the officer that we are a military family and those would be our house key's, when I asked why he had my son in custody he told me since my son is 18 he did not have to tell me. Well now I am having to file forms to find out why my son was arrested and go up to Granite Falls tomorrow to search the town for my son. Now I know he is 18 and has every right not to be in touch with me or let me know what is going on that is not how my son is, every day or two while he was camping he found a way to call me and now since he was arrested 5 day's ago nothing, not a phone call or even a message, this is so not like him, I reported him missing to the MP's as is protocol and have heard nothing, I called every number my son called me from as he left his cell phone here when he left but cause it was on the charger. But since I called all these numbers I found out that at least one other person has been reported missing as well. the police asked for a description of my son but not for a picture, which I find to be interesting, so tomorrow morning I am heading up to Granite Falls and Everette to post Pictures of my son and knock on as many doors as possible as well as to go to as many camp sites as I can. I don't feel that they are taking this MISSING PERSON case as Seriously as they should be. and I am getting very pi$$ed, so now I have to do there job for them! any Ideas I would greatly appreciate them.

he might still be in custody along with the other person..i hope you find him.. 

i'm not sure if they have this in WA, but in AZ we have a website where you can look up people's records...try googling public access to court information WA. you might be able to find out why he was arrested. 

If he was arrested it is public record, you can look it up. Also, if you file a missing person's report with the MP's did you tell them he was arrested there? If so, why didn't they contact the granite falls police dept to follow that lead?

Just cause hes 18 doesnt mean SH****TTTT in my opinion he is still someones child. 

No my son is no longer in custody,he was arrested and released apparently. The JBLM Detective did contact Granite Falls PD, I have to go up there and fill out a form tomorrow to get information as to why he was arrested, that may take 1-3 weeks for me to get the information back.
I am just so frustrated....

Are their issues with your son that might lead you to believe he "Ran away" or just doesn't want contact with you? I am just asking, I mean if I were you that wouldn't put my mind at ease at all! I am very sorry you are going through this, I hope you get some answers. 

no there aren't any issues, I have been trying to figure out if I had done something to pertive him where he may not want to be in touch with me but when I talked to him on the 6th it was, "OK, mom love you too see ya in a couple of day's" and that was the last time I talked to him. 

Sorry u goin thru this...I'm here for u. True to form....u know me...but why the heck r they having unfill out forms to get info that is public record? Since he is 18 it is public. If he was a minor u could get it but others would have to file a need to know thing ( like a lawyer) anyway...u shouldn't have to fill out any paperwork to get public info. ALL arrests of adults are PUBLIC INFO! Grrrrrrrrr!

I wouldn't start w banging on doors, I would start w the granite falls police. From what u said they were the last to see him. Just sayin. 

Been on the phone with them several times a day since the 9th, heading up there tomorrow Morning, to do a face to face with the police chief

did something happen while he was down there?? have been able to contact other parents of the kids he was with??? i know with verizon wireless you can call and ask for location of your sons phone (my cousin did he with his ex girlfriend) and they told him the extact location he was with... he could possibly be scared to come home seeing that he was arrested kids are kids :( that really sucks you are having to go thru all that paperwork i would have been up there the next day raising hell!!! ugh that sucks so bad hopefully you find something out soon :(

Yeah me to but the next day he was suppose to be home. heck he was suppose to be home that day.
I wish I knew what happened. 

try contacting as many people as possible stay on top of the police... this is nothing they need to be playing around with!! :(

Do you have a Facebook page? Maybe we can all help look for him if you have a picture of him and let him know if he see's this that you just want him to contact you. 

Wow, this is so strange. I am sorry you are missing your son & I can only imagine how scared you must be. I hope that your concern will be taken very seriously by the police when you show & they can witness the expression of your face and voice. I would hit up gas stations & grocery stores with those missing person sheets too. *praying he is safe*

We could help by posting it on our FB pages and you can do a text message with his picture. I only say this incase he left that area and on his way to a new location. Hope this helps! You and your family are in my prayers. 

If you have a flier or something we could all post it on FB, Twitter etc. I would also try putting his pic on the FB pages for KING 5, KOMO, KIRO and the Tribune. Maybe even contact the stations
