Since we have a "good things" post, I feel the need to have this one also.
Today my (amazing wonderful and very much loved) child woke up at 3 something. I got him back to sleep, and then when I tried to do that myself, he woke up again. And then he slept in my bed with me, which means I did not sleep. And then he cried and whined and needed to be held alllll day. I missed out on my run because I think he's getting a cold, and I didn't want to make it worse, even though he loves being outside.
So I didn't have coffee (which I love) and I held a crying squirming toddler all day that didn't want to nap or eat or drink or play.
He is now in bed, and I feel that maybe I should follow his example lol. I am worn out!! I'm amazed that I did this for his whole first year!
Anyway. Feel free to share your rants here, or give me positive feedback and help me not lose my mind if tomorrow is the same as today ;-)
Next time call me up and come to the Y. If you remember the "gate". I think he would be so distracted there. Your looking good mommy, so be happy about that!
We can't be winning every day..(imagine charlie sheen)
Hahaha I have actually never gone through one of the topless or bikini coffee huts.
I may have to just toss him in the car and go somewhere if he does this tomorrow. I actually planned on taking him to the mall today so I could get a few things and he could play with other kids for a bit, but the thought of trying to take his shenanigans into a public place terrified me lol
My youngest has been getting up between 12-4 am for the past month and refuses to go back to sleep unless in out bed. I woke up this morning sleeping at the end of the bed because she decided to sleep completely sideways spread out as much as she could.
Haha awww! It's slightly heart melting that they need us, but it's just as equally frustrating. Mine is still small enough to not take up the entire bed when he sprawls ;-)
Haha where is this place?? My husband told me about a place he went once where the coffee was actually really good, but he was too much of a scaredy cat to take me with him ;-)
Other than the fact that I always have my daughter with me... it just doesn't seem sanitary. I wonder if they get more tips. At first I thought definitely, but then again if the guys can gawk for free why would they tip more? We really liked Cafe Elite by the Walmart in Lakewood. Our regular lady eventually left though. She was always really nice to our daughter and remembered her drink. Black Star was good too.
I am ashamed to admit I haven't actually gone to ANY of the little coffee huts. Battle bean on post, Einstein bros, and Starbucks are the only places I've been :-/
With all this awesome coffee available, I've got to get on the ball and try out the locals before I go.
When we lived there I would always go to the one in Lacey in front of Lowes and Costco. Can not for the life of me remember the name but it was clean and the girls were always super nice.
I was there 5 years and never tried one of those coffee shops either. I stuck to Starbucks. The only "coffee" I like is the vanilla bean frap and on occasion the caramel mocha stuff from Cinnabon.
Side note. Sexy breakfasts before kids are awake should not involve frying bacon.
Lol good advice!
I tried a lot of the little drive thru coffee stands when we lived there. I still like Starbucks best. I am a dark roast kind of girl, and they definitely roast theirs darker than most.
My husband nearly pooped his pants when we found the Dutch Bros. coffee hut in Olympia. It is his favorite. They use chocolate milk in their mocha drinks. It isn't my favorite place, but I prefer them to Starbucks.
Where I'm from there is a hut on nearly every corner. I was shocked when we moved to TN and there weren't any.
I just clicked on that article. That man needs to ease up on the porn and grow some balls. How about a woman that loves and supports unconditionally? Didn't see that on the list.
My rant is that our daughter went all of Nov without getting into trouble at school and this week she's got into trouble 3 out of 4 days. Wth! Today her friend told her it would be funny to cut this kids shirt in art class.... So she did. Ugh!!! All she had to do was write an apology note but I feel like I should have her dig into her piggy bank and buy him a new one. It's kindergarten but ruining another persons clothes seems worth more than "I'm sorry"
