Attention: We are aware the President has signed the "Pay Our Military Act." We are awaiting further guidance from the Department of Defense to ensure we accurately implement all elements of the Act. We will update you with additional information as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.
This is what they posted on their Facebook page earlier..
was very sketchy and they had no responses to any questions anyone asked they went MIA after this posting..
but the law that was passed said all military pay and allowances will be paid .
and yes on the we are** part is new that doesnt make it any more assuring.. that makes it worse that they are working on it** and wont guarentee anything, because if it was no issue they would say yes you are getting paid..
I'll go by the law that was set saying they're getting paid. The only thing they ever posted AFTER the bill happened was that they are now aware of the bill. Everything else was posted before...including on their facebook....that is what I was saying.
I understand what you're saying Megan, but the way I'm reading it is that while they are aware of the new bill there are still some things that need to be worked out in order for them to release their pay. Am I the only one taking it that way?

I really didn't mean to start a debate here. This is exactly how I took it too Merktdawg. I know there is a date (I don't know offhand what it is) that they have to process certain things for money to hit people's accounts by the 15th. This concerns me because most of the media is portraying the signing of the law to mean that pay will be there on time, on the 15th. We will be ok if that doesn't happen, but many others are not so fortunate. I am now afraid for them because if they're feeling "safe" they might not have been as thrifty and smart with the pay they just received as they could've been!
They start processing pay between the 5-9th I believe. I have tried to be thrifty but our luck would have it that our pay was short...not 100% why. It was short by ALOT so it was as if we missed a check. We've had a freaking rough year so there is nothing to really fall back on. This is on so stressful. This is what I get for taking it only a threat, an empty threat. Every other year they are able to get their sh!t together, but the one year we can't afford to NOT get paid they rip the rug from underneath us!
It clearly says that they are still working things out, it doesnt say hey we are aware of the law and you ARE getting paid, that doesnt say anywhere on their page, its CLEARLY stating a big OLD we are working it out..
they only have this weekend through tuesday to work it out when the LESs are coming out..
Happy and loud you need to learn to read. I didn't say that it absolutely said we are getting paid. I'm going by the law that was set. It seems that if no one agrees with you and follows what you say, you don't like it. I said what we'll do...which is not worry about it. Act like an adult and just accept the fact that we have a difference in how to take it.
See I thought the military were for sure getting paid.. at least our base pay and the confusion was about what furloughed DoD employees may be able to get paid. There is clearly no consensus about what passing this bill meant...with the idiots in congress that should be no surprise. Lol
I emailed an old political science professor......in short he said, from what Washington is saying at the MOMENT, and from history, he thinks active military will get paid. Now there was a lengthy and private
I emailed an old political science professor......in short he said, from what Washington is saying at the MOMENT, and from history, he thinks active military will get paid. Now there was a lengthy and private conversation as to why......but I'll say this, the worlds eyes are on this, we need paid military personal now more then ever.
