We have our car loan through them and a checking account bc of the loan. Just keep enough in it to keep it open. 

We also only have an act because of the car loan we use or as a forget about savings when money goes in we don't touch it. If my husband tdy that's the account he uses so we can keep track of his spending. 

Do you usually get your checks auto deposits early? Or is it on the 15th unless it is a weekend? 

We do. Hubby gets his check at the same time that USAA releases theirs. Sometimes a day earlier. 

My friend gets theirs 2 days early most of the time. When they first opened the account they didn't have it down as a "military account" si they got it on the 15th til they went in and asked why they didn't get it early. Once it was changed they started getting it early. 

We get ours about 8 PM two days before pay day. 

Thanks gals! Errr , means probably has been already deposited which I didn't see anything. My soon to be ex was suppose to be putting it directly in from check, but I always remembered it as early usually. 

Ours is deposited directly into savings, not the checking, so it doesn't actually hit until the 1st and the 15th, not early. We can see a pending deposit a few days prior though. 

If he has an allotment set up it will probably go through on the day he set it to. My sons sperm donor had an allotment set and I never got it early. 

wow you got money from a donor? that's kinda amazing. especially with all the dead beat dads who don't pay to kids who are actually in their lives. 

Not sure if you took that literally...it's my ex...he's not in his sons life period. I got it because unlike most people who sit and complain about it I did something about it. But, he was kicked out and has been avoiding a job for the past 1 1/2 years to avoid it. Til recently...his dad told on him to me that he got a job and to go request it through the state while he has one lol. I'm a firm believer in if you can help create a child you can help take care of that child whether its needed or not. We get by just fine without it but it would be nice to have college fund or whatever he wants to do with it later on.

I just asked a friend of mine who works for them and this is correct. Military paychecks get deposited early, but allotments set to go in will go the 1st and 15th unless it falls on a weekend or holiday. 

Allotments only go through on the 1st, I thought? Ours always have. 

Thank you! He tried to evade any support as well, but with CID investigating they were adamant on his command to have him support, only after two months of having nothing to eat, having my mom support us etc! Crazy! 

We have a allotment set up to go to navyfederal for the car payment thats taking out of that checking automatic. it goes in on the 1st. It usually shows pending deposit a few days before. But I have noticed that with usaa it goes in at 7am with navy federal there are times it doesn't come in till afternoon on the day it's suppose to be deposited.
