I have a few different types of diapes but my son uses Happy Heiny's for night time, and they are starting to pill on the fleecy inside. I am washing per their instructions down to the letter, but it doesnt seem to help. Does anyone know what causes this, is this just normal?Any tips on getting rid of diaper stink and for stained inserts?

Thanks!

I soak in oxiclean overnight once a week and I haven't had any stains or sticking smells yet after almost two years of all the same diapers. But I use the Blueberry ones.

I have only had minor smell issues but after I ran a bleach sanitary wash through my washer it has not happened again, I think it was my washer =)

I love these things! So cute and I feel more convienient than midnight runs to they son got real bad chemical burns from regular diapers, so we became an all cloth diaper family =) It does save a ton though! I got started with as much as I spent on one months price of diapers and got over 25 diapers! Found a great resource for inexpensive and awesome diapers if anyone is interested! Military discount as well! =) Just like getting advice from seasoned mommas that know tricks I don't yet!

So how much were you spending a month on diapers? I've heard they were expensive and I only spend on average $30 a month on diapers.

We use disposable right now and we spend close to 60/70 a month on diapers. We are expecting a baby next year and we are going cloth. The amount of money we spend on paper for our son to pee on poo on is CRAZY to me. Thats a tank of gas...or money for groceries that could be used.

I have two in diapers and for the past several months I've spent under $40 a month for both, total. When the PX puts coupons on Pampers they are under $7/pack.

When I had three in diapers I spent no more than 50 bucks a month I used Luis pampers. I now only have 1 in pull-ups and still on the same pack a few months back we r potty traing.

MommaKitty United

She does Military discount as well!

The main reason I went cloth is my son is very sensitive and he is such a heavy wetter he was getting chemical burns from the disposables. His doctor said cloth would be a smart investment with the new baby coming just in case he was a heavy wetter too. We were going through 6-8 diapers during each day because of his heavy wetting. Price depended on what type of diapers we were currently trying. We have tried every brand in the book. =) Cloth is amazing for us, and these mommakitty diapers are awesome, and are not too bulky. =) The head of mommakitty is a marine wife who was stationed at camp pendleton with us, she is the mother of three soon to be four and a very knowledgeable source! Have a look at her page! You can also find her on facebook, she once in a while has awesome sales as well where you get the sale price as well as military discount and shipping is so reasonable!
