They took it off. Probably some official made a complaint. A spouse was murderd. I wont write by who. A sad situation, a women who slipped through the cracks and a few of us that should have opened our mouths. But this whole base needs help. There are two people dead in the last 8 weeks from beachwood. Neighbors. I will never be silent again. This is the cry for help these leaders will hear.
I deleted the thread. There was absolutely no reason to put the persons personal life out there like that when it had nothing to do with what happened.
It is no ones business but her families and the cops and then AFTER they release information. How are you to know who I know and don't know? Do you think her family would appreciate the problems she had being known to everyone? Let the news or the police make it public, not someone else. I have no issue with you putting up an awareness post but to put that out there like that about someone who is not alive today is not right.
I'm not the only one who thought it. I won't put anyone's names out there but I received several emails stating the same thing. That's one reason I deleted it.
That is so sad, prayers to this family. There is no reason for this to happen at all. And I agree no one should be silent anymore, if you get the feeling follow that feeling, this can all be prevented and should be.
And I agree theres no reason to put out the whole life story, names, addresses, and such out there.
No personal info was divulged in the original post such as names, units, etc. People in the neighborhood knew and never spoke out. i think that is what MO was trying to say in her posting. So much info has been released, personal info at that on whatever other subjects such as kidnappings, stalking, shootings, death threats, cheating, etc. In this case it kind of is a situation with dictatorship and having the power to decide what subjects someone can or cannot discuss, etc. I feel that deep awareness and assistance needs to come to this military installation or things like this will continue to play out in the future. Sadly, not much is being done. No intervention, no resources other than your normal stone age resources that have been around and seem non-effective for victims, abusers, and their families at this point. Nothing much is being done or discussed until it is too late. And even then, nothing still.
I couldn't find anything about a woman being murdered on Fort Lewis? There was a woman in Tacoma who was though. I'm confused, Why isn't there any news about it, or is the woman in Tacoma the one you guys are talking about?

seriously espically for something like this the news would have been notified.
nothing was reported .last month about the man who killed his wife in a high speed chase here on post. But it happened. And her death was never even recognized what a wonderful woman she was, etc. Too much happens here that goes unreported. Why? Because they are afraid of once again being labeled "The Most Troubled Post"
ok im a unknown party. what am i suppose to be awware of? I dont need to know her personal life. Im just wondering is this a suitation that was a domestic that turned into murder. Am I suppose to be aware now of that type. I respect not releasing details of the family or the suspect. I just want to know what happened? Where there kids are they ok? IS the suspect in custody?
It may be too late for her, too late for this family, but when are people going to realize the problems here especially are much deeper? Intervention and prevention needs to happen.
god.. im glad at least i know. I am going to be more aware of domestics. We had a bad one in my neighbor. Luckily a neighbor stepped in and called the cops to stop the suspects before it was too late. the victim was almost killed.
I'm sorry but I think it was ridiculous to delete that. There was no personal information given out. No one, except those who knew her personally (and therefore would have likely known the issues anyway), could have known who she was. I think MO's post was more about awareness then trying to make someone look bad. Not that my two cents matters but there you have it.
Link to the article that was in the original post:
I understand and totally agree with not releasing personal info, however I feel there is a huge difference in putting info out there to draw negative attention just for that purpose, or fear mongering, etc. But putting info out there to people who can be educated in a real problem occurring here, being able to help them prevent it and know the signs, or what to do, where to go, and bring to light the issues of domestic violence and how stress can build to this point is a whole other deal that has to be done in order to prevent such incidents from occurring. By not talking about it, it brushes the problem under the rug, it diminishes the importance of the lives of these victims, and their family members, and is a huge injustice for those who has passed and those who are fighting and will fight this in the future.
