As for the other one, we were told we were not in crises enough because I'm able to work. despite the fact that I haven't been able to get a job.

I know it may not sound great but I'm sure you could find seasonal work or even fast food, convenience store jobs. I stayed at home for years and was still able to find work. 

I've been applying for 19 months. It's not for lack of trying. Back in Washington I had a job within weeks of applying. Down here I'm not even getting interviews. 

I'm so sorry you guys have to go through this :( I pray that everything works out and you guys can get on your feet.

Have you checked with Operation Homefront or the local VFW? 

Coalition to salute Americas heroes will help. We got a grant from them to move from memphis back to Washington. Takes about a week or so but they are better than everyone else.

Have you tried the Wounded Warrior Project? I've heard wonderful things about them helping. The DAV, American Legion, etc are also good sources. 

No hand outs coming from this way!

I bet that came from a person who at some point received 'handouts', if now still receiving them. But yeah, that was very grown up of you to say, congratulations, you are now officially a douchebiscuit! 

WWP won't help. neither will AL without a paid memebership. DAV down here isn't helpful at all. 

As for the coward anon up there, I'll make sure to file you away under all of the scumbags who have sent me threats via email over that gofundme page, from hoping we become homeless to wishing death upon my husband and kids. yeah. That's the kind treatment I've gotten since we've moved down to this hell hole never mind the last three months. 

^ That anon person sent me an incredibly nasty and vulgar email in response to my message sent to her quite a while ago regarding becoming a MOD. She asked if she could be a MOD after only just joining the page, and I told her it all went up to a vote. I also mentioned that her chances weren't great, simply because she's such a new member to the page, and that members generally voted in favor of someone who they are familiar with. I'm glad she self-obliterated, because I was totally going to ice her with her childish response. What a jerk! :-| 

They complain about me "wanting a handout"... At least most of ya'll kinda know me :P
I didn't just saunter in here and expected to be handed a position of digital power. lol. (I was actually suggested for a MOD once and I said "nooooooooo")

I give 'hand-outs' when I can, but people like that have ruined it. Someone actually stole my box the last time I put free clothes in my yard for the homeless that frequent this street. Made me think twice about the umbrellas I was going to put out.
Hate to see what kind of lonely and miserable life that person ( up there ^ ) leads. 

How are they faring and don't throw stones you never know when you may need help!!
