We used it when we first moved to Tacoma. I loved having it. They just take your rent, however much it is, so you never have to worry about it. It was easy peasy. We got a discount with the apartments we lived in for being enrolled in the program. It was worth it for us.

We used it at The Village At Seeley Lake Apartments in Lakewood when we first arrived here. Equity runs their management as well. You can use it anywhere that accepts the RPP program. It was awesome to us having to pay thousands to move here(we were not married at the time) and it saved us on having to pay any deposit) So that made a HUGE difference in our pocket! I think it's great! We never had any issues with the program at all. We had to go in to housing and sign up on the program and they give you a list of all the renters who are on the program for you to choose from.

Yep, we just signed up for it. With the apartments we pick, we have no deposit except the normal cleaning fee and no app fees, no credit check whatsoever since they see my husband qualified for rpp we are good enough. 5% discount off the rent. Don't worry about paying rent every month since its an allotment. Its worth it. They will give you a list of rentals that accept it as well.

I don't see my fam of 6 easily fitting in most apartments, but my curiosity was piqued since we have arrived at a duty station only to find out there is no housing available & no reasonable rental homes and apartment living could be necessary for a short time. So I guess my question is, is this a nationwide thing or just here at Lewis?

Pandaroni --- 13 years ago -

Oh yeah I forgot to add that!^^^As Megahn said...we had a 200$ non refundable cleaning fee upon move out. Although they looks at the apartment and told us there was no need to steam clean the apartment or clean that's what our fee was for, I steam cleaned and cleaned anyway. That's just me, I don't want to leave a place unclean. :) We were only charged for a broken blind. That's was great!

They also have rpp homes for rent. These aren't just apartments. Also, look at ahrn.com miss priss. Not all are rpp on there but lots with discount and lots of homes within bah limit for your family size.

Thanks Megan. I registered & did a search for Ft. Lee in my home state but saw nothing about RPP.

Megan LeeAnne --- 13 years ago -

I didn't find any listed when I searched rpp either for our area. Our list was given by the housing office. It had homes listed as well. See if they have one.

They are also listed on ahrn. You just have to know how to read the symbols because they are on there. We are a family of 6 and are on it too, cus we moved here last year.

I'm in a 4bd 2 1/2 bath house n we r with the top program. We found the house before we got here we r the first ppl to live in it it wasn't finished when we got here cause we got here a couple of days early cause I was 6 month preggo n high risk our renters stopped working on the others to hurry up n finish ours. Our company put in specials plug locks so the kids can't stick things on them because of my lil ones which they didn't have to.

Megan what apt do you live in we are getting the run around for them one that we filled out the app for I want something easy with no run around

Pretty much any Equity property takes RPP, and id say stick with Equity. They know what their doing, more then any other apartment property.

We used RPP 3 times and its well worth all with Equity.
