Hi everyone, I am seven weeks pregnant with my IVF miracle and I'm looking for information on off-post OBs and (preferable) mid wives once we transfer from my infertility doctor. I've heard great things about delivering at St. Joe's and since I would love to labor in a tub, I think that sounds like a good fit for me but I'm lost when it comes to finding a place for prenatal care. Please tell me who use you used and what you liked about the practice. Did you see the same provider every time and was the same provider present at your L&D? Thanks everyone!

i loved south sound womans center. I saw the same ob each time but when she was on vacation. I did not deliver with her as i went into labor when she was on vacation. They deliver at capital medical center. The hospital has tubs in each room and each room is private.

I second South Sound! I saw Dr. Walker and she was awesome. She assured me she would've been at my delivery but unfortunately I miscarried at 16 weeks. Even through that ordeal she was amazing. I do not care for one of the receptionists in the office but every one else on their staff was always super nice. And I love that they draw labs right there in the office.

I do NOT recommend Dr. Phoebe Ho. She's at both Babycatchers and Beyond in Tacoma. She was nice but she did not read the patients charts before walking in the room except the due date. I was in the process of her knowing I was going to miscarry, my last appointment before my D&C, she walked in and said something about being 12 weeks along and almost out of my first trimester. I just looked at her and was like uhm...this is my appointment so you can do the final ultrasound before a d&c since it wasn't miscarrying on it's own but there was no heartbeat and no baby actually formed. She quickly looked at my record and apologized and got to doing the ultrasound. I just wanted to punch her.

I delivered in April at St Joes. If you are wanting hospital I would go there. I went to the Womens Clinic.

This time I am doing a home birth and highly recommened Ann Olsen.

Thanks! I asked about the Women's Clinic earlier. Glad to know someone else had a good experience!
