Have any of you gotten pregnant while being on the birth control pill?
If so, how did you find out you were pregnant? 

I did but it was my husband that told me I was lol I didn't know 

how can you can pregnant on birth control? either u take it 100% and get pregnant or you dont....and u take the chance to get pregnant....but its a risk for the unborn baby if u are pregnant and keep takin the pill..

birth control is not 100 percent effective even if taken 100 percent of the time.

not really... you can still get pregnant while taken the pill ive known several people who have they just noticed something was different and took the test... just make sure you are taken it like its supposed to and if you really dont want to get pregnant use other means also 

...yea..they had women got preggo who got their tubes tied....but thats like 1 in a million...come on now... a lot of women claim to get preggo takin the pill...and i dont believe it...then if u asked them..oh well..i forget 2..3 pills..i threw up..i took antibiotics... 

I became pregnant while on BC- (& I took it every day @ the same time, without skipping doses... but sometimes certain meds counteract it & makes it not work. No one told me)

I finally realized that something was wrong because I started feeling different. I took a test & *surprise*. I was about 3 months along before I found out & my daughter was born healthy & has never had any problems.
If you are concerned, just take a test (or call your PCM & see about getting a blood test) Good Luck :-) 

i understand that happens..but u dont ask the doc if u could get pregnant or u dont read the prescription??
and thats my point...if u ask..then they say...this n that went wrong... 

I got pregnant on depo...soo...its possible 

apperently everybody got preggo usin birth control.... 

so we shouldnt use it..since u get preggo anyways ;) 

You know what- the point to this is that if you are concerned- just take a test.

Sometimes Birth control fails- might not be a high enough dose or what ever reasons. It just happens.

Nothing is 100% effective unless you just don't have sex- & not every medication has it listed that it can cause BC to fail. So just take a test to be safe & Good Luck. 

I got pregnant on pill, Depo, & having an IUD. Every body is different & has different reactions to things. 

I got pregnant 4 times after hubby had been snipped twice. He just had a third one done about three months ago. I have known of people you have gotten pregant on bc, iud,depo and my first one was a bc baby and I tooked i t faithly. It does happened to people. The doc this time did not even give us a percentage we have learned his comes undone at about the three year mark. 

Wow... having to get snipped 3 times would probably suck :-/

After my twins are born, I'm getting my tubes cut, burned & tied... I already know BC doesn't work for me & I am DONE having babies.

Katena your hubby must have some strong sperm!! not trying to be gross or anything!! but wow twice? and you still had one.. my bil is thinkin about getting it done cuz his wife is tired of taken the bc and going thru alot of changes she is done and doesnt want anymore 

WOW...here we go again...wives try to top each other...why not sayin u got pregnant and u didnt even had sex??? that happended 2011 years ago...
it seems like only military people get preggo on BC...but oh well...more power to you!! 

I wasn't "military" when I was on BC- just saying.

My twins are what happens when I took myself OFF of BC :-)

But unless it happens to you, you'll never believe it. 

i do believe you..and like i said..there are some cases and it is possible...but if u read back...8 out of 10 got preggo on the pill..tube tied ...hubby snipped and whatever...thats a lil too much...but people get offended...like this show " i didnt know i was pregnant.." hey...everybody got their opinion :) 

actually getting pregnant after a tubal is still 1 in 100 not 1 in a million. i got pregnant on birth control with 5 out of 6 of my kids and they were all different birth controls.

I'm not offended- & I agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but you don't know whether or not it was human error or just a faulty form of BC.

some womens tubes grow back after a tubal if they werent clamped trust me i have researched every bc out there and know the % for each one as far as the likelyhood of getting pregnant. that is why they dont recommend tubals prior to being 25 same with vasectomies. your body tries to heal itself. this baby is a depo baby but i was in my first round of my shot when we got pregnant. i had the essure thing done before my 4th and my body pushed the coils out and healed the scar tissue . this one im getting my tubes cut burned and clamped.

like i said...i said it does happen..but 8 outta 10???? really??? answer that yourself.... 

My daughter was pill mixed with meds- yes, I can count that as my fault, but who cares.

2nd- depo. I was on that for almost a year, never missed getting a shot or was late. (That was the baby that had serious health issues & I had to terminate :-(

3rd- The Implant in the arm. My son is a healthy 8 year old

After I had him, I had the IUD put in- had 2 miscarriages (chemical pregnancies) within 5 years with that.

Once Hubby went into the Army- we decided that we wanted 1 more so we got off everything & managed to conceive twins. Damn good thing that I never “tried” before or I would’ve put the Duggar’s to shame.. lol

I'm getting tubes completely closed when I have the twins... I'm hoping that will prevent any more surprises.. lol

Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed today lol. Look at the amount of people who have read the post. It's says 135 so I'm assuming that everyone else that hasn't commented has not gotten pregnant so technically speaking the odds here are more likely to be 8 out 130ish. It happens all the time and is more common than you know. There are certain conditions and medication that make bc obsolete.

I know docs here are the worst about not telling you the side affects of meds you are taking, and the pharmacy doesn't really pay attention either. For example, I am pregnant (don't worry I tried for mine orea no b/c lol) and I have to take meds for hypertension. Well thank God I pay attention to what meds my doctor said to take and dosage size b/c once I went to the pharmacy to pick it up and they gave me a triple dosage size! Thank guys! Way to put my baby and I at risk!

Anyway, my point is if you are taking other meds I would call the doc or the pharmacy and ask if they can react with your b/c. Take a test, if it's negative and you aren't having a period make an appointment b/c there could be something else going on. Better safe than sorry!
