attack? You mean the donuts? Otherwise I must have missed something in the article...

the bear got caught the other day in the New Hillside neighborhood and got released in the Cascades, no harm nothing.

Here's a link to the pix of the bear that was caught on post. Kinda cool.

Need to read further down. In addition to the bear caught last week, there was an actual attack here today. It happened on Engineer Bluff, though - still on Lewis Main, but completely different area of post.

Id attack someone to after being chased for weeks !

NadaSuperstar --- 13 years ago -

Were they teasing it? It must have felt cornered to attack.

Mother of Three --- 13 years ago -

That's crazy! Not only do you have to look out for bears, you have to watch out for deer, too! I almost hit two of them on my way home in the Parkway area a couple weeks ago!!!

Bears are wild..they don't HAVE to be provoked or teased or cornered. They may attack no matter what because they are unpredictable..why they are called WILD animals and WILDlife...

This what I have been saying on all these "bear watch" posts...sounds like bear watch still a good idea? The fact is they are territorial, and out there to find food. They are trying to fatten up for hybernation and because of the cool weather, there is less fruit in the woods so they are a little aggressive right now, they will kill another bear or animal they view as competition for food and territory.

including people and pets.
