um its a 3-6 month wait. but both parents have to work full time to get care. the centers will only take your child for 3 hours a day if the spouse is not working full time. parents central can also give you a list of FCC(in home childcare) providers here on post. the most they are supposed to charge is $115 a week. i dont know wha the center charges but i think its $120

For hourly care is $4 per hour.

I was told they offer the fullrime daycare if I want to look for a job. That's what the cyss people told me. Before You get a job, they base pricing on one income (based on service members rank), how old the child is. If there's 2 incomes, they base it off of that. My e-5 neighbor with an unpotty trained 2 year old paid $600 month for full-time care, not incclluding weekends and only till 6 pm She had a receptionist job at the time

I know for the center both parents do not have to work full time. My friend who is now at Bliss always had her kids at the CDC and she only worked 20 hours a week. She had three kids and got major assistance, paid less than $200 a month TOTAL for all three.

I have used the daycare, well preschool on and off for 8 years and I have never worked full time...idk if the requirements for preschool are different tho..

Kelly, its a lie..... im looking for work and they would not take him full day bc the wait list is so long... i even have a freind that work there(parent central) that couldnt get us in full time bc they dont have the staff and so many people want care. and my son is preschool. and they were gona charge is that same 600 a month for those 3 hours a day my hubby is only e4..... but hey go for it. it does not hurt to get on the wait list and see what happens. now if you are working on base then u get bumped up on that wait list for full time care

JenJ --- 14 years ago -

You have to be a full time student or like Kathryn said work like 20-25 hours a week to get full time care. Sometimes, if there aren't any wait lists they will give you like 60 days to find a job, but it's really not like that anymore since the wait is so long. They go by how much you make, no matter what age group they are in (referring to the CDC. Parent Central Services has the paper with the prices on them, they are broken down in brackets.

I am an fcc provider I charge 100 per week and have spots open for 2 and up I am mostly looking for older kid's now since my son is wanting someone his age (5) but will work with families who have more than one child. I also offer sibling discount.

Kathryn --- 14 years ago -

Miggs your FCC?? Cool! Why haven't you raised your rates yet?

abrown --- 14 years ago -

Avon Lady...FCC providers can charge what ever they like to. The most for an infant is $115. For other children it depends on the provider. The providers that charge more are usually fully certified and have been open for more than a year like me.

I just opened tuesday is my first day and I think since I just opened 100 is reasonable.

I am looking for some older children since the two I signed on are 22 months and 25 months. I also have my two which are 5 and 2 1/2. so I have two spots open.

abrown --- 14 years ago -

I have 3 slots for ages 3 to 5yrs old.

Kathryn --- 14 years ago -

I will be closing Sept. 14th, so I will call you ladies then to see if you have any spots! I have GREAT AWESOME TERRIFIC kids!

Kathryn --- 14 years ago -

I just looked at the CAlendar, I will probably close the 16th since that is a Friday. This all depends on how my pregnancy is going, I am having a C section some time in the very last few days of that month, so I might close earlier just depending on baby.
