Anybody done it? How long will are they saying if they get it back?? 

Are W-2's out already? 

Active duty isn't out yet. 

We usually use our last pay stub. Was just wondering keep getting emails from taxes layer saying they are a cep ting them. 

I use turbo tax, and usually, It's the middle of February, depending on how the IRS decides to issues refunds. Sometimes they decide it's first come-first serve, sometimes it's by SSN, sometimes it's alphabetical, sometimes they decide to pick a name out of a hat. 

We usually get them back within a couple weeks. State takes longer. Doing it online gives an estimate which is pretty accurate. 

This year the IRS will begin processing returns until January 31st!! ( they blame the shut down) so even though we get our w2's on the 24th we won't have them processed for a whole weeks after that~ PS do we need to wait on a separate w2 for the partial dity move? 

According to them it should be in your acct. approx 21 days after you file so if you file the 31st, then you should get yours late Feb. or the 21st of Feb- Living in Vegas is $$$$$$$$

$$$$$$$$ did I mention it's expensive here?? and our BAH is awful! 1250!! which only covers rent no utilities etc, car insurance is higher(way higher) groceries, entertainment, every thing cost $$$ here..so I am OH SO anticipating squirreling away money for Christmas next year and for our impending GIANT cooling bills- and all the other fun stuff like Dental work-swimming lessons and bills Yay me! haha!!!

I was born and raised there. In the villages alcohol is completely illegal.
And things like a gallon of milk are a rare treat.
in the cities it's not so bad, but the cost of shipping up there is crazy. 

I'd totes mcgoats buy a goat and milk it and drink the milk. 

I had goats growing up. Soooo good. Store bought milk tasted funny to me for so long.
plus we used them for meat, and the fur can be kept and used to spin yarn. 

I drank goat's milk once.

I love goat milk and cheese. but it's too expensive to buy at the store. if i lived in AK or HI i'd definitely have a goat. 

The good news is that W-2's are up a day early!

The bad news is that the MyPay site crashed lol. 

Haha...they were up late last night :) I kept getting a message earlier saying we are performing maintenance with an October 2013 date. We have to wait on my W2 anyways so I get to miss out on all the craziness trying to get on. 

That is great but still can not process taxes until the 31st.

That's another reason we are in no hurry. I remember last year the people who filed early ended up waiting longer than the people who filed later due to "issues". 

I have to wait for my husbands W2 from the Army, his W2 from the state, my W2 from AAFES, and his W2 from his last civilian job. 

I'm waiting for AAFES as well. I was told they would mail them out on the 22nd when I called and changed my address with them. So it shouldn't be too long for that one. 

When I called to change my address they told me the 27th. of course they may be sending them out in a system (alphabetical, by last four, who knows)

Or I could have completely misheard her. I may not have been the one in the military but I sure as hell do have artillery ear... 

We filed today at H&R Block, but have it on hold until my 1098 from my school comes in. 

Filed mine tonight. So happy, just pcs'd to Hawaii, talk about expensive… 

I know they did it in 2008/2009 but does anyone know if you still get a first time homebuyers credit on taxes? 

Well she told me they start the 22nd, she couldn't tell me when they exactly would send it...I could have heard wrong too though...I haven't gotten mine as of yesterday but it normally takes about 3-4 days for mail from Washington to here. 

Megan, I got mine today, so keep an eye out for yours. It's one of those "tear here" on three sides things. 

When we were at H&R Block, the lady said they were told to tell everyone it may take up to 21 days, but it really should not. I also never realized I have had my T1098 all along! lol It was in my documents section of my school site. Silly me. i still need to go turn it in. I am in no rush though. We have my husband's family calling probably hovering over us waiting to ask for money! Umm the answer is hell no. Go away! They are financial vultures!

@Samba we had so much trouble with my school 1098 last year we decided not to file it this year!!! Good luck. Why does family think we owe them we have 5 kids that we take care of and my family sends 300 for for bdays and xmas that not a lot divided 5 ways.
