so my 3 year old daughter won us a $50 gift certificate for there at a spin the wheel type thing, and my hubby feels like it would be mean to leave her out, and if we bring her, then it would be messed up to leave our baby with a sitter, but i see reviews saying its not even a little kid friendly..... are there more kid friendly times than others and has anyone been to the tacoma location?

It's different but I think as long as you're careful she understands the fondue is hot she would love it. I've taken my kids several times, that although they are older, they loved it and the food is yummy! As for the baby, I am unsure about that one =/

Oh, and there are no more 'kid friendly' times, I'd just go whenever they are rested and not too late. I do believe they open later though

thanks:)

Definitely take your daughter with you and let the baby stay with a sitter. It's okay to do things with one child and not the other, this way they get one on one time and feel extra special. I'm sure any child 3 and under wouldn't mind having time with the sitter and getting some of their own special attention. Just be sure to do the same thing with them one day :-)

I took all mine, when we had three three kids, but we do fondue at home sometimes so they knew how it worked. They were 9, 5, and brand new. The youngest one slept the whole time. I wouldn't take an active baby who will be awake the whole time.

I have never seen kids in there, although, I am sure it's just like any other place. After going twice, I think the melting pot is way over rated and very expensive. I was not impressed, but by all means, use the heck outta that gift card! ;)

I think they are very kid friendly, if you go early. We went as soon as they opened for our sons 5th birthday. They have a kids menu! (just ask them about it)our 2 year old ate every course, and they of course loved the dessert. It is expensive but we got 2 thumbs up from our boys and we didn't feel bad being there since it was early and we weren't bothering anyones date night ;)

We went with our 6 and 3 year old. We went right as they opened their doors.
The waitress was very nice to our kids, but it took forever! She said there was something wrong with the burner or IDK but that was the hard part. waiting for each course to warm up. So I would bring snacks or a coloring book. BUT it was so much fun. It was my first time and I loved it and the kids loved it too. It was awesome seeing the amazement on their faces. Loved it so much I went out and got our own fondue pot! :)
We did not get a kids menu, and for 4 people it cost us over $80, but we got alot of food-more then we could eat.
I would leave the baby with a sitter if you can. Less for you to worry about, since the baby won't enjoy it at all. Tell your daughter it is her special "date" and she will feel so special!

My husband and I took our 4 year old before my husband deployed. He explained to him that we were going to a big kid place and once we were there he asked our 4 year old if he would be Daddy's helper and help take care of Mommy and his little brother. If was all very cute, watching my "baby" be very serious and pretend all grown up.
