Hey dose anyone know of some good books to read. I am kind of looking for something in a apocalyptic setting with nonstop adventure and also with a love story behind it. But I more or less looking for a good book that nonstop adventure/Fantasy with some kind of love story behind it. If you have read the Enclave (Love that book) or Iron King even the City of Bones these are the kind of story lines I am looking for. So what you have in mind?

my husband loves R.A. Salvator and his Legend of Drizzt series.

I like the Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler.

One book I randomly picked up and couldn't put down was one called Neverwhere. I don't remember the author. It was a random book I found years and years ago. I think I was 12 when I read it. There's very little fantasy to it, and I don't recall a love story, but it was kind of a mind bender.

There is another series that I read when I was about 11-12 that was good. They were called Taliesin, Merlin, and Aurther, by Stephen R. Lawhead.

(these are more adult level reading, in case you were thinking that because I read it at age 12, it was more simple/young adult. I had a college level reading comprehension by the time I was in 5th grade)

I have recently read The Discovery of Witches and the sequel Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness. Both are great. I can't wait for the third book in the series. I also just read The Watchers Trilogy by Karice Bolton. That sounds right up your alley. If you have a nook they were pretty cheap, I dont know about the kindle. Happy reading

If you're up for some romance and fantasy (like, faeries and stuff) then check out Laurell K. Hamilton's Merry Gentry series... it's really great, and I'm not even one who likes romance stuff! There was a lot going on BESIDES the romance, which is why I think I really liked it.

ALthough there really isn't a love story in it, "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova was AWESOME. Usually, I really hate vampire stories, but this was a really cool, really different take on the Dracula story, and it was sooo hard to put down!

Also: Song of Ice and Fire (aka "the giant books that 'Game of Thrones' is based on"). If you like fantasy and adventure, this is it.

Colorado Native... you might also like the Discovery of Witches it has some Vampires too. In fact the two main characters are a vampire and a witch.
