So i wanna kno if theres a place that will help you move home if ur husbands deployed??Some financial things have came up and I think its best if me and the kids move back home??? is there a place that will help ( just for our things ) not our tickets ( those are already covered ) any info would help =) thanks

For a voluntary move, not that I am aware of. The only time the army will move you is if A)PCS or ETS, or B)Safety issues (like domestic violence)...you could look into getting a loan. Pioneer, Omni, and USAA work with military.

Yea i know all that ..... what about a Aer loan if my husbands deployed and i have the Poa for it??? how do i do that process ???

Leesah --- 13 years ago -

Rumor has it that they will move you to HOR once, but that means they wont move you back after he is done serving.

Long story short the bank we finance with repoed our car with NO NOTICE over 50.00 late payment ( my hubbys set up allotment was short once 50.00 ) so hubby adjusted it and its fine and over lapse in insurance so we had to pay 800 dollars for 6 months insurance paid in full... and 50.00 to get car back but now we have to pay the repo fees totaling 475 and 240 ( come monday ) and then we can get it back but we dnt have i have 376 in cash could i get a AER loan ???? and just get our car back versus leavin and moving back home??????

leesah, thats a rumor my husband found out wasnt true.

i would think about all your options before moving back. if it is just for this incident then you have to think about moving expenses, then moving back to your duty station when he comes home. also, if you have a lease you will have to break that and pay fees.

if it seems worth it to you then do it.

do you have anything you can sell to get the money? maybe something you can do without til next payday then you can replace it. or even sell something (washer, couch etc) then buy one with your star card so you can make payments.

yea we do but the longer we wait the more fees the repo towing place adds on its 40 for 2 days so come monday its another 140 i was trying to get a AER LOAN but my hubby said hes not sure how with his unit being deployed
even tho i have the POA?? but hes going to ask his Lt what we can do

I hate to suggest this...but do you have a credit card you can put the charges on or a family member that can lend money possibly?

Omni or pioneer would also be options for small personal loan that you can pay over 6 mos or so while your hubs is gone.

Eliz --- 13 years ago -

usaa does small personal loans as well. i want to say up to 2,000. i have never used any of these places tho :(

I know you said you have it covered but just incase you need future help Operation home fornt is amazing and will help you with all kinds of things including something like this (getting your car back that is) also you could have doen an AER, I dont incourage Pioneer and Omni because of the intrest rates that come witht he loans, for sure to help you. I hope things get better for you and I think its great you reached out for help :)
