Here's a link to the Greenwood Page on the Fort Lewis Communities site.

Hope that helps some.

Hi tinarei..

I live in Greenwood... there are a couple different options over here depending on your husbands rank.. I live in the multi-plex brick homes but there are also single family homes and duplexes. I haven't been inside of the single family brick homes but have heard they are nice and I think some of them come with a basement. The duplex are small but its nice to only be connected to one other person. I like my house. We are closer to the school and there are several parks around. We haven't had any problems here so far. We are not far from the main gate and close to everything else like the gym, commissary and px, library, and movie theatre. You have a single car garrage here. In the ones I live in you don't really have your own yard.. that is a downside but there is a nice little covered deck on the back of the house. Some have carpet, some have all hardwood floors and some a mixture of both. Let me know if there is anything else you want to know... Hope this helps!

Hi :-) I live in Greenwood. I LOVE it here! We live in a 4br single home. We have had absolutely no problems. We have a full basement. We have hardwood floors every where except the bedrooms. Those are carpet. I can send you pictures if you'd like.

hey tink... are your basements finnished?

Hi, I live in greenwood also in the duplex's. I love my house. It has 3 bedrooms and carpet throughout except the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms. I have a 1 car garage and my own front and back yard. theres also a fence company here that you can rent chain link fences from for like 30 a month so you can fence in your backyard.

Sara...no they aren't finished. We have an upstairs with 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath, then the main floor has 2 bedrooms, full bath, living room, dining room, and kitchen, then the basement where the laundry is. I really do love this house. We have a newly remodeled one, so that may make a big difference.

thank you guys so much! makes the moving process much easier. we our on the list for a 3 bedroom duplex. and very excited :)

We live in a 3 bedroom duplex in Greenwood Village and it's alright. One of the bedrooms is VERY tiny, and can basically fit our 11 yr old son's twin bed in there and a dresser. He has NO room to really play in there, but we do our best to make it work. The only reason his younger sister got the larger room is because she has a full size bed and more bedroom furniture, so it wouldn't fit at ALL in the smaller room.

The kitchens in the duplex is very tiny with very little counter and cupboard space, but then again...we make it work. We took 1/2 of our hall closet and turned it into a pantry by putting in shelves, and it works awesome.

Other than that, we like our place, the living/dining room in our unit is HUGE, so we have alot of entertaining room, and our back yard is a HUGE open field by the playground/Community Building.

Hope your PCS here to Lewis goes well, and that you are able to get settled and just begin to enjoy all there is to do here in WA. ...and there is TONS to do around here no matter what your interests are!! Good Luck!!!

Hi we are pscing to Ft lewis in feb. We have to pick out our housing now, so we can get on the list.Which we have never seen the housing(only on the website). So we need help! Where are the good housing? I think Discovery looks nice, but ive heard the wait is loonngg. So we were thinking Greenwood. Or Evergreen. Any info you have!Pictures or anything at this point. We have 3 kids, and my husband is an E4.What are the chances of us getting a single standing house, thats nice? Any info about greenwood, or evergreen! Thanks a bunch!

I live in Greenwood and have some pics of the inside of the brick multi-plex homes empty. You can PM me if you would like me to send them on. I love my house. It can suck not having a yard and being attached to others but its not that bad and other than the single family homes here and the ones in Discovery, ours has had the largest living area. My room is huge and has lots of closets.
