Lol gotta love those. Except my husband goes on fishing trips. Those are the times I like to reorganize everything and super clean. But that only lasts about 4 hours and then there's nothing, I feel your pain :-( 

I'm usually home 24/7, but I've got three kids, so that puts a dampener on things. And only one vehicle that my husband has to use. I usually don't do anything but clean and play video games, or TRY to do art.

We were over that way, now we are off of Marvin and Old Pacific. South of the Costco 

Love that area as well. We went to the Mongolian BBQ place over there the other night and it was pretty good. 

There is so much neat stuff over here! I do love this area! We are in Freestone Station. I love our new house but I'm already feeling it's too small! Oh well hopefully we can add on if a few yrs when we sell our other property.

This month (well Aug) we are going to not eat out at all! To see what we save, as a fam of 5 I can't belive how fast it adds up! We will see how this goes; I'm not the best cook. I did compile a bunch of recipes so I can force myself to do so lol. 

Nancy.. That's a good idea! I think me and my family will do that as well! We are also a family of 5 and boy oh boy does eating out add up! Whatever we save will be going in our Disneyland fund! 

I went to the Library on post and got a cookbook. They have a good assortment of them. I have yet to use it though. Am planning on working it into the menu this week sometime. I was a little shocked when we got here on how expensive food is here. I heard all about it and tried to prepare myself but the first time I went to the store I bought nothing cause I was in sticker shock. 

Heather, Good luck!!! I think we will be able to save at least 200/300 a month!! We eat out a lot, not just dinner but lunches and breakfast or when we go places like Chuck E Chese! It's going to be more about planning times we go out so we aren't tempted to eat out!
Whatever we save I want to buy a small deep freeze with so I can store more food and be tempted to eat our less!

Shari, That is a really good idea! I looked through all my cook books and didn't see to much. Looking online is just to much to me lol. I bet I can find some good ones at the Lacey library, well I need to find it first lol. 

I think it might be off of college near city hall.

I have a hard time not eating out cause I am just used to oh we are already out might as well pick something up. I would like to try to eat in more but I have to get out of lazy mode and cook.

EXACTLY!! lol So far so good, 2 whole days cooking shocking hahahahah. 

I am on day 2 as well. Having a little bit of coffee withdrawals though. Really want a good white mocha but I am resisting. Been putting the crock pot to good use lately. Tonight I am trying chicken and dumplings. Never made em before. We will see how that turns out. I think I am going to try to cook on week days and go out on the weekends. I think I can handle that. 

Chicken and dumplings...yum! My husband and I never go out to eat, maybe once a month or every other month.I make breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday. I love it! We hardly ever eat the same thing. I love going through cookbooks or even online and finding recipes. If you want to do a good crock pot dinner you chould get one of the whole chickens at the commissary, cut up some potatoes, carrots, and onion into it. mix some seasonings into some broth and pour it over everything. Put on low and cook all day until done. Usually about 6-8 hrs, depending on your crock pot. It's so good!!! The chicken pretty much falls off the bone. Even makes for good sandwiches for lunch the next day. 

That sounds really good!! I got a fix it and forget it cookbook at the library so I have been using that.
