Has anyone been there? Do you recommend it for a family trip? Is there a certain hotel that we should choose? thanks 

LOVE IT!!! Go there often! The sheriton is nice used to have an indoor water park don't think its there anymore.... But yes do go!!

We stay at the ramada, It is cheap and we as well, go often. There are a couple of Family fun centers there. 

Seaside in oregon is also a great place to visit! My family used to go to Ocean Shores 2-3times a year and clam dig or just play in the ocean. I hope you go and get to enjoy the fun little town.

We also stay at the Ramada, it is pretty nice. However, coming from SoCal... I can't be please by any beach here lol. But, we are going back as soon as the weather get nice :)

I just went to ocean shores today. It was horrible because of the rain, but when the weather is nice is would probably be quite nice 

I went there (*O.C.*) for my marriage retreat. I HONESTLY would say, if you have the spare money, to stay at the casino right down the road. Quanalt, I believe was the name. They have a bar/club, casino, indoor hot tub and swimming pool, AND indoor fitness area.. It took us about 15 minutes to drive to Ocean shores.. Also, you can go right out the back of the casino/hotel, and you are right on the beach. I LOVE LOVE LOVE OCEAN SHORES!! If your on a tighter budget there is a camp site that is ALSO really neat.. I dont remember the name of it, but it is straight on the same road you come in on. :) also right on the water! 

D- also, I would suggest looking at Long Beach.. That is also really neat. Small town type, but I loved it when we took a family trip there years ago! 

Lincoln City in Oregon is pretty neat, at least it was when I was there a few years back. Ocean shores is cool if its your first time. Ive been there more times then I can count..lol Lots of family activites there. 

There grocery store does suck, I suggest to byof :P LOL.. (*bring your own food*) 

Yes the casino is a great place to stay!! Also there are a TON of places to stay there just keep researching :)

Ok im an Oregonian and I Strongly suggest a trip to Newport Oregon...A little of a Drive from here but they have the best aquarium on the coast, Ripplies (sp) Believe it or not. Its right on the Doc's so you can see crabbers and the Fishing process...BEST and FRESH seafood they also have the undersea gardens and its a short drive to the outlet mall in Lincoln City. However if you are looking for closer to washington Seaside is nice but better when it is warmer, there are more outlet malls in Woodburn oregon (these are all along I-5) a small town known as little russia because the majority of Russian immigrants looking to come toward the west settled there. However next april the Shakespear Fest happens in Ashland. A small liberal Arts town down by cali, beautiful town and during the Shakespear Fest they do well Shakespear plays at the play house the vendors and little shops are to die for. If you like to ride Quads and dune buggies i suggest Florence or Coos Bay both are small little coastal towns but with the added advantage of Sand dunes. Coos bay also has a casino (an added bonus) Bandon is also a nice coastal town that has a wild life petting zoo there also... Im a wealth of info if your looking for it just message me
