Honestly why do some people feel that you should have to deliver an item to them when they're the ones buying it. I can understand if I was asking alot for the item or it was a larger item at that, then it would be worth my while but not for $5. They wouldn't even meet halfway. I'd use more in gas just going there and back. So what would I get out of it...nothing! Sorry this is just my opinion. Maybe theres some of you that do this but not me. I'll just wait for the next buyer.

Shelley --- 15 years ago -

I'm right there with you on that one, I would meet someone at the visitors center but that's as far as my delivery services will go, especially for a few bucks.

Or how about when some asks for detailed back and front pictures of every item...but keep in mind its a lot of kids clothes. It was a lot of 50 items...and there is no way I am taking 100 pics...seriously???? Oh, then she emailed me again asked asked me to put the brand name of everything.

Or how about when some asks for detailed back and front pictures of every item...but keep in mind its a lot of kids clothes HAHA, Oh my goodness, If they are THAT concerned about tears stains rips etc. they should buy new clothes. And brand names?? really? For my kids clothes im sorry but im not going to spend $50 on ONE outfit just because the tag says a certain brand. I wouldn't be so nice about it, either they want the stuff or they don't. Selling something shouldnt be a huge pain in the hinnie. Put a disclaimer on the bottom of your sales that say "I refuse service to anyone that is going to make my day more difficult, Thank you Have a nice day"

lol ask em if they ever call walmart to have them bring what they wanna buy. I think people forget that this site is basically a way to have an "inhome business" and both buyers and sellers should be treated that way. A few questions are fine if you are looking for a specific thing but jeez put ALL the questions you have in one email instead of toying with the seller and there is NO way I would ever ask a seller to bring me something... if I cant get to it and they cant hold it then it wasnt meant to be .. that simple.

Charlie --- 15 years ago -

That's why my listings say "you pick up" I am very specific. For a $5 item, I won't even meet at the gate unless I'm going out already. I have kids, and it's not worth my while to pack them into the car for a $5 item. Heck, I won't even go to the Commissary with them unless I can make it a day of errands.

Anne Grace --- 15 years ago -

My rant is that I just posted an item in perfect condition that was $80 new for $10 and someone had the nerve to IM me within a minute to offer me $4 for it! Wow! Seriously?!? Not only was it NOT OBO but you can't even offer half of what I am asking?!? I swear... Some people are a little too cheap...

adrieanne --- 15 years ago -

I had someone do that to me on some baby clothes awhile back( anne I think we talked about this before lol) they offered less than half and I told em nope! needless to say the clothes sold and the lady came all the way from puyallup to my sons football practice to get the clothes. It shows you if a person really wants it and really needs it they will be willing to pay a fair price and pick it up.

Anne Grace --- 15 years ago -

It's funny because when I looked at the person's items they were charging outrageous prices for what can only be called junk. I'm sure they were hoping I was desperate for cash and we were hoping to buy it and turn a profit. Good luck on that one!

**Robyn** --- 15 years ago -

ok now I have another rant about a different item. Why is it when you and the seller agree on the sale of an item they go and sell it on you. The seller and I agreed on a time to meet. I waited for her to reply with her address... Nothing. So I gave her my number to call as I would not have access to my email...Nothing. What pisses me off is I rearranged my night so I'd meet her on time and I check my email this morning after I emailed her lastnight asking if everything was ok and what happened and she tell me the item is gone. WTH!!!!! You know I hear about these fine sellers on LYS that do this well guess I got my first taste of one.

HisGoddess --- 15 years ago -

I posted on LYS once that I was always on the lookout for a bunch of items. One of them was kids clothes... now when I buy used kids clothes for a five year old, I expect to bay between 50 cents and five dollars... This one lady emailed me and told me that she has ONE pair of jeans that she would sell me for $35.... WTF? maybe if they were embroidered with golden thread! they weren't even a "brand name".

HisGoddess --- 15 years ago -

whenever I use Craigslist or LYS, I try to be as specific as possible. I was trying to sell a 2nd Gen red Ipod nano, 4gig. with engraving (Live strong, Love strong). still works perfectly, no damage. I figured $75 was a good starting price. I had people email me asking if I would let it go for $20 because "their husband desperately needs one and they're strapped for cash"... sorry but there's some things in life you can wait a little longer to get... I'm mean when it comes to selling things! lol.

lotsokids --- 15 years ago -

Why is it when you and the seller agree on the sale of an item they go and sell it on you. I had this happen to me a few weeks ago. I emailed them asking how much, they said the price, and I said I could come in a few hours and I needed an address or a phone number to call them and I left my number. got no response. the next day I emailed said I could come that day or the day after but I was leaving for two weeks after that... well didn't hear anything... a few days before I come back I emailed her again and asked what was going on and if I could come and get it... well she said she sold it... yeah... I told her that was crappy since I tried to arrange with her several times to go and pick it up. carmie_p30@yahoo.com Is her email address... just do you guys know what to expect when contacting this person. Yell at me all you want, all you had to do the FIRST time I said I could come get it was that someone else wanted it or had already gotten it. It's not really that hard to send an email. Ill show you... lol "open email>read email>hit reply>type "sorry someone else got here first">hit send" Now was that so hard?

Heather T --- 15 years ago -

I have had several people like that. Irritates the crap out of me!! I think its fine you post their email. If they weren't such shady sellers, then it should be NO problem u know? If they do have a problem then maybe they should be a better seller. Easy done.

lotsokids --- 15 years ago -

Yeah, I mean I have bought tons and tons of things over the last year all great prices and they were all so nice and awesome, Even had a few people come bring the stuff to me after I said I didn't have a running car during the days and then went on to arrange a time I would have the truck. To those people you are awesome :D (I don't expect something to be brought to me in no way was just nice when they offered to bring it to me because of the no car thing)

HisGoddess --- 15 years ago -

What REALLY annoys me, is when people beg and plead you to hold an item for you... and then they drop off the face of the planet... I was selling a car once, and this guy put a $100 deposit on it for us to hold it for a week. He put another $100 down on it, and then just went POOF! no Emails, no phone calls, his cell was shut off. So we sold the car to someone else after three weeks, and we never heard from him again. This was back in Colorado

lotsokids --- 15 years ago -

well... sucks he disappeared but you got 200$ out of it :D He could have gotten arrested...

HisGoddess --- 15 years ago -

soooo true. I was selling a car here...$700, needed work but was functional... this couple bought it and were infuriated at me because I kept telling them that I would NOT drop the price... It's sad when people nitpick about a situation that is practically a godsend to them. (back in the day I would have been all over that car, and thankful that they would have worked with me)
