So I'm getting sick of going to the 5th page on the last rant discussion, so I'm gonna start my own rant one lol. My rant for the moment is people who sell something on LYS for more than you'd buy it in a store for! I saw an item on LYS today posted for $1 each, when I just bought the same exact thing from Michaels yesterday for 59 cents each! LYS is suppose to be a place to buy & sell new & used items at a great price... it's not a great price if it's more expensive than you'd buy it at the store for! Errrrk! People annoy me sometimes... 

So rant for the day...I finally found a swingset. My daughter's birthday party is on Saturday and I was thrilled I was finally going to get this for my girls. So it was a $100 plus a 3 hour drive. I was ok with that until the last e-mail the person wrote me saying they had another person offering $175. Why would someone else off $175 if your only selling it for $100? Seems kinda like a scam to me. So once again I'm going on the search for a nice swingset around $100 bucks or less...uhhh! 

it bugs me too when things are sold -same price as retail for used items. Like you say it's supposed to be a deal. i had someone do that to me on craigslist the other, i had it all lined up then they e-mailed to tell me someone already picked it up :/ 

Ive been getting that one A LOT lately!! Get the whole sale almost concluded then BAM! its sold to some one else.. I found my daughter these boots IDENTICAL to a pair of mine, that she loves I EVEN ALREADY TOLD HER I WAS BUYING THEM...AND SHOWED HER THE PIC... The lady told me she still had them available (*the ad is still up as a matter o fact*) and she is Ignoring me now. :( I had to tell my 4 year old she couldnt have them anymore! And also, I was SUPPOSED to get this surround sound for my mom (*I told her about it too*) and that lady REFUSES to reply to me. She sent me a message with a pick up time, that I told her I couldnt do, I had an appointment for my 2yr old. ERG no reply back from her.. This has actually been happening to me A LOT recently. Or getting replys on my things and as soon as they hear I live in UPlace (*like it says on my profile*) they never reply back again!! Hello, I GO TO LEWIS EVERYDAY!! I even tell these people that, and I live RIGHT out of North Fort. :( Erg!! Kristie, I hope you find your daughters swing set! I would have been SO ticked. Have you checked out maybe ShopKo, Wal-mart, or even Kmart. ? They have all been having pretty great sales lately! I will let you know if I see one for under 100.. Maybe you can post a wanted add on here and freecycle, and maybe Craigs List :) 

mommaof3 I tried to use freecycle...signed up and nothing would come up on the site. Maybe it's just to smart for me lol I was actually looking for one of those step2 or little tikes plastic swingsets. As soon as I find them on craiglist they have already sold or take a higher offer! uhhh just seems to be the luck. Maybe it's just not meant to be at the momment to buy one. That is all I can think of. I have already bought my daughter a vtech camera but my parents send money for her so that is why I was looking for the swing...ohh well Life goes on! Thanks though :) 

I hate it when ppl reply and then just stop replying. There was a sub that my man really wanted off LYS and the lady sent me pics and everything and had it listed for pretty cheap and I told her I could come get it right now and she stopped replying. I think she figured out it's worth way more than $10 but it pissed me off. People need to figure out what they have first. errr. I also hate when people seem sooo interested in buying something and then just stop responding. It'd be nice if they at least said oh I changed my mine or whatever.

i was suposed to buy a lawn mower from bloodfest138@yahoo.com/ bye bye stuff, made arrangments to pick it up and everything emailed her back to find out a good time to come by her house and she never wrote me back I emailed her 2 more times and still no answer and now it says sold. I have her address and everything as well as her phone number. We were ready to go get it, im really ticked off now and can't believe how rude that is 

oooh someone emailed me about one of my items, but gave me a bad email address! i always answer inquiries and expect others to be as polite, but how can i respond if the address i was given is wrong? i'm worried now that someone may think i'm rude, but i can only work with what i am given. **sigh** at least i know i tried. that's more than others can say. 

Cari, I bought that lawn mower from her. She seemed really nice... I bet it was just a misunderstanding or mistake. I am really sorry!

Ugh...so I had someone from Kent today wanting to buy one of my items. They end up trying to add me to their yahoo IM and start talking to me on there. THEN they tell me that unless I drive 20 miles to meet them, that they will only buy it for half of what I am asking if I don't. Um...who is selling the item again? Me, thats right! I tell them sorry, I cannot meet you (I broke my toe and have stitches in my ankle) and sorry, I am not going to knock it down by half of what I am asking. As it is, I am only asking a 1/3 of what I paid for it, and its in new condition. They asked to meet somewhere on I-5, and I tell them I live right off of I-5, and could meet at the exit. They made it sound like it was this hella long drive from Kent....first off...if thats the case, then why are you looking on LYS (they were not even military) second off, Kent is not that far of a drive. 

Wow.. Some people are totally inconsiderate!! I had someone from Bonney Lake want me to meet them at the puyallup Wal-mart. I told them they couldnt be late cause I had to meet the ex with our daughter.... AND I had been having car issues, plus I needed the money for gas to get up there. JERKS NEVER SHOWED UP, Never replyed to my emails, and refused my phone calls. I was SOOOO pissed, and my ex was so mad at me! UGH!! But why should the seller travel that far. I think you should have to live within a vicinity of here (*lewis*) I had someone who wanted me to bring something to Bremerton.. Like worth 15 dollars. I dont think so. Toll bride is 4 and gas to get to bremerton AND back!! Ya right.. Is there a way where we can suggest that LYS have restrictions on it or something? Pft! 

okie so my rant for today is that i have someone who keeps asking over and over again where can they meet me to get something. even asking me to drive all the way to puyallup for a $1 item! I keep telling them I don't travel for items under $15!. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 

Me either~ and if it is a large item I make them come and help me load it in my truck. 

Alrighty so I have a NEW rant to be mad bout. Alrighty... Some individual on LYS keeps reposting and reposting "i need to sell this stuff, need the money, moving, bla blabla..." This chick has reposted and lowered her price on this one specific item. WELL.. I am needing this specific item, and was willing to fork over the almost 100 dollars for it, BUT I need to pick it up while I have my uhaul on SUNDAY! Now, I KNOW shes been online cause she reposted it AGAIN... Okay now I think it is freaking rude, that she gripes cause no one has boughten it, and I told her I wanted it, and had cash for it.. But, she doesnt have enough common courtosy to sell it to me! Okay, thats all I guess... So to be more specific this chick is selling that all in one Changing Table, and it erks me, cause I have ONE day I can buy one, and im due like NOW! lol.. Okay~ Hormones got in my path sorry for the rant.. :D 

oh yes i know! i have had the same problem with the bye bye stuff girl. i write, she says it's mine and even tells me where she lives, i ask her a good time to come over....and then 2 days later get an "oh sorry it's sold". that's not a good way to get anyone to ever buy something from you! i also have had people writing wanting to get the dirt bike helmets from me.....same thing. they never show up, quit writing back, even when i say please let me know either way. I won't get mad!!! but i do when i sit around and wait!!! do people really not have any manners or sense of honesty any more? are they all as immature as they sound? it's hard to believe.... 

Someone did that to me also. Might have been her.. It happens to me ALL the time. If its already sold why is it still posted for available... Lol, sheesh! I had 3 ppl write me about my BBQ then NEVER responded to me about it again. Still sitting in my living room as a matter o fact :( Dangit! 

i want to rant a little again with the emails back if people are emailing you about an item it would be nice to email them back with something anything saying its sold or pending its annoying then ive been emailing this one lady about an item shes had up for a long time for weeks nows and finally i emailed her again and she was like oh someones already getting it. weeks later you email me this dangit post it pending or something then its just nice if you reply to people inquiring about your items i try to always write back. it bugs me specially since you get your hopes up about something you really want and know your getting a deal then they never email you back ever. annoying ok lol im done 

Same boat here crystalo... With the changing table I wanted to buy I KNOW she has been online too, cause she JUST reposted a breast pump today. I hope she doesnt write me back now, cause I think I might have an attitude to her. Ugh! 

I got a rant!! So.. this lady wants an item of mine.. GREAT.. so she is supposed to meet me the following day at a specific time.. Never shows.. I wasted 30 minutes of my time. Now, usually I am like..screw you and its back online for sale, but I emailed her and asked if she still wanted it and she gives me a story that she forgot and blah to the blah.. So, she then says she wants to meet either that night or the following day. GREAT again.. well.. I email her back with a time and YEP.. never heard from again. Are you kidding me or what? Its now three days later and still no email its back up for sale Monday! So annoying. 

Heather - I would put her name on the "no show" list, so we dont have to deal with her :D Cant believe she had the balls to do that 2x to you! 

i also have another rant.. i think its also sellers that seem to flake out though i went to a place to meet a lady to buy something and it was the time she chose and she was a no show a couple days ago i think that if your especially on here to sell you should make yourself more available to check your emails lol or atleast be home or at the place you said you would 

ok so heres my rant. i hate when people sell something for a set price no obo on it and you offer more than what they are asking. then go figure they start getting greedy cause someone else offered at yet another higher price. i was willing to pay 10 dollars for a toy that was offered at less than that and she told me ok i will sell it to you and even gave me her address then she turned around and told me oh well this other lady is offering to buy it for 20. of course this toy was not worth the 20 the other lady was offering and i sure as hell was not going to pay more. but what the hell, she was selling it for less than 10 to begin with but now all of a sudden wants more money for it and trying to see how much she can get out of people that are fighting for it. that is just wrong. she told me ok i'll sell it to you if you can get here soon. all i needed was her address and i was on my way. then she dropped the bomb that the other person wanted it and was offering more money. like seriously, i'm not a freaking monkey whose going to keep going higher and higher in price for a damn banana. i think people should be more honest. ya everyone is selling stuff for $ duh i get that but if you are going to sell it for a set price than don't try getting more out of it when people want it. just give it to the 1st person who contacts you for it and then go down from there if there are no shows. stop being greedy. ok i dont really feel better but once i blow this out of my butt i will. :) 

haha.. your funny. :) That is wrong though. You should put her on the list of beware... Do we even have a list like that? If not, we should.. the List of Beware... hahahaha.. Cuz there are some crazy shady people out there, both buyers and sellers and I am so sick of their crap. :) 

i think we should have a list of people that s*ck! lol. 

Why do some people put OBO, and when I emailed them asking ONLY $1 less then what they are asking to make an even amount, they say no.
